Shannon's Story

Shannon faced overwhelming challenges when she discovered she was pregnant. With only a minimum-wage job, no support, and enduring abuse from the baby’s father, she was urged by friends—and even him—to choose abortion. When those friends abandoned her, she felt completely alone.

But by the grace of God, Shannon found the Houston Pregnancy Help Center. We saw her potential and the hardships she would face if she chose abortion. From the moment she walked through our doors, we stood by her side, providing support throughout her pregnancy and beyond. We helped her navigate job loss, homelessness, access to benefits, and baby supplies, all while guiding her back to her ultimate source of strength—God, the Good Father.

Today, Shannon’s beautiful daughter is almost two years old. Shannon often tells us how her daughter fills her life with joy and reminds her of God’s unwavering faithfulness. This journey has transformed her, teaching her to trust fully in Christ and showing her how motherhood can bring abundant blessings. Her daughter has truly changed her life for the better.
